These terms and conditions apply to all purchases from our webshop, aboutSTEK.nl , and determine the responsibilities of both the buyer and STEK. We kindly request that the buyer read these terms and conditions before making a purchase. By paying, the buyer agrees to the terms and conditions and the shipping costs. We will send a written copy of the terms and conditions upon request. We accept no liability for any consequences of any typographical errors. The delivery terms and conditions for a placed order are valid for 30 days, after which they expire.

All STEK products are made of FSC birch plywood and treated with water-based stain and a matte, child-safe varnish. We display photos of the products on our website. We do our best to depict the products as accurately as possible. The wood is a natural product, and the staining is done by hand. Therefore, the color and grain of the wood may differ from the products shown. We reserve the right to alter small details of the furniture to improve quality, without this being visible on the website.

The prices listed on the website are in euros, including 21% VAT and shipping costs for shipping within the Netherlands. For international orders outside the EU, 21% VAT will be deducted. Shipping abroad will be charged separately, unless otherwise stated. The buyer is responsible for paying any other taxes and import duties in the destination country. Prices on the website may vary, for example, in the case of special offers. STEK makes every effort to display accurate prices but cannot guarantee this. In the event of an incorrect price display, STEK gives the buyer the option to purchase the product for the correct amount or to cancel the purchase.

After receiving the order, the buyer will immediately (or within two business days at the latest) receive an email confirmation of the order, including shipping costs. The order is only binding for STEK if the entire ordering and payment process has been completed correctly. If the information on the order confirmation is incorrect or the buyer wishes to change the order, they must send an email to STEK within 24 hours . After this period has elapsed, the buyer is deemed to have accepted the order confirmation. If STEK's email confirmation does not reach the buyer (for example, due to an incorrectly entered email address), STEK considers the purchase canceled. For special offers, the buyer is requested to contact us prior to placing the order.

Payment of the amount stated on the order confirmation (including the order number and the item purchased) can only be made using the payment methods offered in the webshop. Payment must be received in STEK's account within 10 days of the order date. After 30 days, prices and delivery terms become invalid.

The buyer becomes the owner of delivered products once all payments due to STEK have been received by STEK.

The delivery time begins when STEK has received the full invoice amount. Furniture is often produced to order; in that case, the buyer will be notified by email of the expected delivery time. STEK strives to deliver within the time indicated on the website. Exceeding any delivery time does not entitle the buyer to terminate the agreement or claim compensation, unless the delivery time is so exceeded that the buyer cannot reasonably be expected to maintain the agreement. In that case, the buyer is entitled to cancel the order or terminate the agreement to the extent necessary.

For domestic orders, shipping costs are included. Items are shipped by regular mail. Goods are shipped at STEK's risk. The buyer is obligated under the purchase agreement to accept the purchased items at the time of delivery, or at the time the items are made available to them according to the agreement. If the items are refused or incomplete, or if the information or instructions necessary for delivery are provided, the items will be stored at the buyer's risk and expense. In that case, the buyer will be liable for all additional costs, including storage costs. The risk for the ordered products passes to the buyer upon delivery. If necessary, STEK may deliver orders in installments. STEK will inform the buyer of the reason for the partial delivery as soon as possible. STEK will charge shipping costs and any import costs for orders abroad separately.

Despite our careful packaging, damage may occur during transport. If the product arrives damaged, please email us within 24 hours with photos of:

• the unopened packaging on which the shipping label is legible;
• the opened packaging on which both the packaging and the contents are visible;
• the entire product;
• the damage to the product.

The purchase agreement with STEK can be cancelled by the buyer within 30 days of delivery of the order. The buyer must notify STEK of this in writing (by email) within the aforementioned period and return the order in question to STEK, unused, undamaged, and complete. STEK will refund the total order amount to the customer's account within 10 business days of receipt of the return shipment. All shipping costs (including return costs) are the buyer's responsibility, as is the risk of return shipping, unless there are proven defects. STEK reserves the right to refuse returned items or not to credit the full amount if it suspects the item has already been used or damaged by the buyer.

We take great care in our production. All products are carefully inspected before being carefully packaged and shipped. Nevertheless, it is possible that something escapes our attention. Upon delivery, the buyer must immediately report any visible defects or damage to the packaging, no later than within 24 hours . Any other complaints regarding the delivered goods, if applicable, must be communicated to STEK in writing, in detail and in detail, within 14 days. STEK will then arrange for repairs, replacement parts, or a replacement product. All our products come with a free 2-year warranty. This warranty does not apply if the defect is due to neglected care, improper use, intentional damage, or carelessness. Furthermore, the warranty claim is void if anyone other than STEK has carried out repairs or other work on the product without STEK's permission. Returns of delivered products can only be made after approval by STEK, and STEK reserves the right to provide instructions regarding the shipping method. STEK's liability to the buyer can never exceed the purchase value of the delivered goods and is always limited to €500.00 per incident. STEK is not liable for theft, loss, transport, or storage damage if transport or storage has been outsourced to third parties, except during regular transport of the order to the buyer. STEK is not liable for any business interruption or consequential damages suffered by the buyer. STEK products are furniture and should be used as such. STEK is not liable for damage resulting from (improper) use.

STEK is not obligated to fulfill any obligation to the customer if it is prevented from doing so by force majeure. Force majeure includes, in any case, serious operational disruptions at STEK and transport delays. In any case of force majeure, STEK is never obligated to pay any compensation.

STEK owns and retains all intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, and design rights) relating to the products it supplies and its website. It is prohibited to use these rights in the broadest sense of the word without STEK's permission, including (but not limited to) making reproductions. When using material available in the press kit, both the name of STEK and the name of the photographer of the image in question must be mentioned.

STEK respects the privacy of all buyers and other users of its site and ensures that the personal information buyers provide is treated confidentially. STEK uses customer information to process orders as quickly and easily as possible. We will only use this information for other purposes with the buyer's permission. STEK does not sell personal information to third parties and will only make it available to parties involved in fulfilling (packing, delivering) orders. STEK uses the collected data to provide its customers with the following services: we need the buyer's name, email address, and delivery address to process the order and keep them informed of its progress.
